The real estate industry is a cut-throat world where only the best survive. To that end, you’ve got to have some creative real estate agent marketing ideas in order to stay ahead of the competition.
It’s not enough to put up yard signs and have a few basic advertisements in the newspaper.
Today, you’ve got to do much more.
Having a strong online presence is definitely a must, and it’s a place where you can let some of your real estate agent marketing ideas run wild.
Your site should look professional, of course, but you can use your own colors, have a custom logo created, and more. You can even write a blog where you talk about your thoughts on real estate, houses, décor, and much more.
Social media is another place where you can get creative. In fact, it’s the perfect place to be a little less professional and a little more personable.
That’s not to say you should post whatever comes to mind, but it is a place to interact with clients and potential clients in a somewhat relaxed atmosphere.
You can post pictures, videos, and links to things you find interesting in addition to marketing your business. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and even Pinterest can be places for your real estate agent marketing ideas.
You can also get creative with some of your offline marketing items, too. Think of a clever slogan to put on your signs and other promotional materials.
Have a business card that looks a little different from other agents’ cards. For example, something as basic as designing your card to be read vertically instead of horizontally can make it more memorable.
Experiment a little and see what real estate agent marketing ideas are the most popular with your clients.
Now For Some Out-Of-The-Box Strategies...
1. Spy On Your Competitors
I'm going to assume you already have a fully functional and optimized website for this example. With that being said, how are you generating traffic to your site?
I recommend starting a PPC or "Pay Per Click" campaign via Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
Borrow ideas from other agents in your local market! One great resource to use is a service called spyfu.com. Spyfu reveals all of your competitors keywords for paid and organic traffic, and allows you to duplicate their successful marketing campaigns.
How cool is that?...
The software literally takes away all of the guess work and trial and error, a newbie PPC marketer would encounter. You will save a ton of time and money, by following other successful agents.
2. Create A Landing Page Then -Drive Your PPC Traffic To This Landing Page
Driving traffic your your website just won't do! You need a way to follow up with potential prospects. Creating a landing page or squeeze page as it's sometimes called, allows you to collect a prospects name and email.
Ideally, you'd want to offer something of value in exchange for their personal information.
Maybe a free report, tutorial video, or a free market analysis on their home.
I personally use leadpages.net for my landing pages. It's a little bit on the pricey side, but it's well worth it. They provide you with the top converting landing pages for your niche.
It's also, a great tool for newbies and seasoned professionals. Don't worry if you're not the techie type. If you can follow simple directions you're good to go!
